Description

Discover Zamboanga City's historical landmarks and tourist spots when you join this day tour. If you love visiting places with stories to tell that will make you appreciate history, this private Zamboanga tour is for you. It comes with entrance fees to all attractions, the assistance of a tour guide, complimentary bottled water, and pick-up and drop-off from your hotel in Zamboanga City.

You will be picked up from your accommodations and then head to your first stop, Pasonanca Park. The first destination, known as the Little Baguio of the South, has a refreshing ambiance as it is home to a variety of trees and plants. Also in the park are tree houses and the Boy Scout Camp, where you can see teepees built in honor of the Boy Scouts who tragically died in a plane crash in 1963.

From there, you will proceed to the city's Heritage Zone starting with Zamboanga City Hall, which has Filipino-Colonial touches in its architecture. You will then stop at the Plaza Pershing and hear from your guide the history of this plaza dating back to the American Occupation.

Next is Rizal Park in Zamboanga, a smaller park across from Zamboanga City Hall. While not as grand as Manila's Rizal Park, it still has a monument dedicated to the Philippines' national hero, Dr. Jose Rizal. You’ll also visit Pettit Barracks, a former U.S. Army base, before heading to Fort Pilar National Museum, where you can see artifacts used by the different people of Mindanao on display.

Also in the fort is the Fort Pilar Shrine, which is dedicated to Nuestra Señora del Pilar, the city's patron saint. You’ll also visit the National Museum and see artifacts before making a stop at Paseo del Mar in Zamboanga, a park perfect for relaxation. Enjoy jogging, strolling, or other fun things before paying a visit to R.T. Lim Boulevard.

R.T. Lim Boulevard is a scenic waterfront promenade. It offers stunning views of the Sulu Sea, with a relaxed atmosphere thanks to its gardens, walkways, and decorative lampposts.

Afterward, you will make a stop at the souvenir center in the city, where you will also get to learn the weaving practices of locals from Yakan Village. Feel free to purchase some of the hand-woven items for sale.

Lastly, you will visit Canelar Barter Trade, where you can buy souvenirs that will serve as your keepsake from the tour. Afterward, you will be dropped off at your hotel.
