Conquer the majestic Mt. Apo in Davao by joining this 2-day camping tour via the Sta. Cruz Trail. Designed for advanced trekkers who can endure long trekking hours, this Mt. Apo hike is inclusive of accommodation pick-up and drop-off (within Davao City), 3 complimentary meals, guide and porter assistance, camping equipment, climb permits and fees, and a climb certificate. Other meals, tips, gratuities, and additional activities are not included.
Your Mt. Apo hike tour package begins bright and early at 5 AM, as you meet the designated driver who will bring you to the jump-off point at Sitio Baruring via Digos-Kapatagan Road. You will ride aboard a van or a bus and a truck or a motorcycle.
You will then arrive in Kapatagan, where you can purchase a delicious packed lunch and a hearty breakfast to fuel up for the trek ahead. Departing after a few minutes, you will head towards the Baruring River trail, reaching an elevation of 1,141 meters above sea level. The real adventure commences as you start your exhilarating trek. Pass through Colan and Tumpis, and allow the stunning natural beauty of the trail to leave you in awe. You can eat your lunch along the trail.
Around 3:00 PM, you will reach Tinikaran Camp, where you will pitch your tent and eat a delicious dinner as part of the Mt. Apo camping experience. As the sun sets, immerse yourself in the peaceful ambiance of the mountains, retiring for the night. Rest well and gather your energy, as day 2 promises more awe-inspiring moments on this unforgettable Mt. Apo expedition.
Ascend the summit via a route that will pass by boulders, a mini rock tower, the Gabroq E-Camp, and Botoy's Ridge or 87 degrees, beginning at 1 AM. Reach the entrance to the boulders and continue your journey to the mesmerizing old crater.
At 5:30 AM, you will reach the summit on the Davao side, standing at an impressive 2,934 meters above sea level. Witness the breathtaking sunrise and take in the awe-inspiring panoramic views.
Continue your adventure to the summit's Center Peak at 2,964 meters above sea level. Enjoy more views of the sunrise while indulging in a delicious breakfast of sandwiches and hot drinks. You will arrive at the campsite for a satisfying lunch and a well-deserved short siesta. You will then begin the descent back to Tumpis. Reach Tumpis by 3 PM, followed by Baruring, and as your adventure comes to a close, you will then arrive in Kapatagan. Around 8 PM, you will return to Davao City.
