Your driver will pick you up at your resort or hotel in Panglao at 6 PM. Once you are all set, you will proceed to the boat dock, where your Bandong, a traditional boat, is waiting for you. Life jackets will be provided to keep the activity safe.
Before you get on the boat, a palina ritual will be performed. The native ritual involves a clay pot with white smoke and is meant to protect people from evil spirits. After the ritual, you will board the boat and begin your cruise along the Abatan River.
Listen to your guide as they will tell you about the species of fireflies in Bohol and the mangroves that they call their home in the Abatan River. Your guide will also point out the trees full of fireflies, so be sure to listen and be on the lookout. The boat will stop for a few minutes near trees filled with fireflies so you can take everything in. Don’t forget to also look up at the night sky, as the darkness will help you see more stars.
Remember to bring a good camera with you as it requires a bit of luck and advanced technology to catch this magical experience on camera. Just remember to turn off your flash! Don’t worry if you don’t have a good camera, though, as you will still be able to enjoy the experience of seeing the fireflies spectacularly light up the trees along the Abatan River.
After visiting more spots where fireflies gather, you will be brought back to the dock and then driven back to your hotel.

Tour Information: This private tour is available daily at 6:00 PM.
Meet-up Information: Guide to the Philippines will send tour reminders at least (1) day before the tour date through your registered email address or mobile number. Please keep all communication lines open. Make sure to have the electronic copy of your confirmed tour voucher ready.
On the day of the tour, your assigned Tourist Driver will meet you at the lobby of your hotel at least fifteen (15) minutes prior to start of the tour. Strictly no latecomers or tour reservation might be forfeited.

Cancellation Policy: The operator may cancel the activity in case of force majeure or unforeseen circumstances like weather conditions. In this case, you will be given the option to reschedule or request a full refund. Schedule cancellation requests must be made 48 hours before your original subject to approval. No shows are not entitled to reschedule and refund.
