Description

Go on a unique firefly-watching evening cruise tour at Abatan or Maribojoc River in Bohol. This night tour usually takes around 3 hours and already comes with the entrance fee, the assistance of a local driver guide and cruise guide, complimentary bottled water, and air-conditioned van transfers.

At around 5:30 PM, if you are staying in Tagbilaran City or Panglao Island, your guide will pick you up from your hotel. Once you're with your guide, you'll ride in a van to either Maribojoc or the Abatan River, depending on your preferences.

The boat will take you on a leisurely journey down the Abatan River. Along the river's bank are mangroves and other trees that are home to fireflies, which illuminate them like Christmas trees. Your tour guide will point out the trees that are covered in fireflies, so pay attention to their instructions. Your boatman will dock the boat next to these trees so you can get close to the fireflies and observe them in their natural environment. You can try to take pictures of the fireflies, but to better capture the beauty of the sight, bring a strong camera with night mode.

Don't forget to gaze up in between stopping at trees with fireflies. This region of Bohol has fewer city lights, giving you a fantastic view of the night sky when cruising.

Your boat will return to the docks after the tour, and your driver will transport you to your hotel or resort in Tagbilaran or Panglao Island so you can rest for the night.

Grab this opportunity to try firefly watching with an evening cruise tour in Maribojoc or Abatan in Bohol. Check the availability by choosing a date.
