Description

Explore some of the top tourist attractions of Guimaras when you book this day tour. This activity is perfect for travelers who want to go on a side trip to the island from Iloilo as it already comes with air-conditioned land transfers, the assistance of a tour guide, and pickup and drop-off from Parola Wharf.

The tour will begin once your guide picks you up at Parola Wharf in Iloilo. You’ll board a boat and make your way to Guimaras Island. Once there, you’ll start exploring the island. Your first stop is the giant mango. The mango is one of the icons of Guimaras, as the island is known for producing some of the sweetest in the world. After taking photos, you’ll head to your next stop, the Smallest Plaza. The plaza covers an area of less than 300 square meters and was once the Guinness Book of World Records record holder. You’ll visit the Guimaras Windfarm next. The renewable energy farm can power tens of thousands of households.

After a morning of exploring, you’ll head to The Pitstop, a restaurant on the island that is famous for its Mango Pizza. Here you’ll have lunch (at your own expense).

Once you’ve had your fill, you’ll continue your tour by visiting the Trappist Monastery, officially named the Our Lady of the Philippines Monastery. Here you can pray, talk to the monks and nuns, or purchase souvenir items and food from the monastery’s shop. You can also buy souvenirs and local delicacies at your next stops, the Pasalubong Center and the Mango Market.

After shopping, you’ll head to the famous Guimaras sign for a quick photo-taking session before heading to the Guimaras Provincial Capitol Grounds. Next, you’ll drop by the National Mango Research and Development Center. As its name suggests, the center studies and develops techniques to ensure that Guimaras mango harvests remain sweet and bountiful. You can also take photos with the mango trees on the property.

Your last stop for this tour is the Guisi Lighthouse, a Spanish-era lighthouse that used to guide ships passing through the Guimaras Strait. It is also believed to be the second oldest lighthouse in the country.

Your guide will then accompany you back to Parola Wharf, where you can continue your vacation in Iloilo.
