The tour is also inclusive of the service of a guide, a side trip to Gungal Rock, transfers from Baguio City, drinking water, snacks, a souvenir, and all entrance fees.
On the day of your hike, your guide will fetch you from your accommodations within the Baguio City center at 7:30 AM. When you're settled, you'll begin making your way out of the city and onto Mount Ulap. You will then undergo a quick briefing on safety precautions upon reaching the jump-off site for the hike. Afterward, it's time to start the journey up to the top of Mount Ulap.
The entire trip will take around 9 to 10 hours, depending on your pace. Since the weather here is usually colder than in the rest of the Philippines, it's best to wear comfortable clothes that you can layer in case you start to feel cold. Waterproof jackets are also essential to keep you dry throughout your climb. As you make your way to the summit, you'll find scenic views of the nearby rolling hills, pine ridges, and towering rock formations. You will also stop by the famous Gungal Rock, a natural rock formation that juts out from the side of the mountain and overlooks the lush forests and hills below.
Feel free to take photos here but remember to keep a safe distance from the edge of the cliff as well since there are no rails installed. Afterward, you will continue on your trip to the summit. At the top of Mount Ulap, you can catch your breath, enjoy the view, take more pictures, and eat some snacks before starting the descent back to the jump-off point.
