The tour kicks off at 9 AM after you’re picked up from your Tawi-Tawi homestay. Then, you’ll head to Bud Bongao, known as the province’s sacred mountain. This peak sits about 1,100 feet above sea level and boasts a panoramic view of Tawi-Tawi. Afterward, you’ll drop by Mindanao State University’s Tawi-Tawi campus to visit its very own Marine Science Museum.
Your next stop is Bolobok Cave, an archaeological site where various artifacts have been discovered. Following your time here, you’ll travel to the Bajau Village to get a glimpse of the rich culture of the Bajaus (Badjao). You’ll also get to learn about their longstanding traditions, such as their weaving, evident through their vibrant hand-woven mats. From there, you’ll drop by two beautiful mosques: Masjid Nurul Iman and Masjid Raayat (the province’s central mosque).
After your visit to these religious sites, you’ll visit the Tawi-Tawi Provincial Capitol before heading to the Bongao Marker by the Bongao Municipal Hall, where you can take travel photos. You’ll then end your tour at the I Love Tawi-Tawi Marker. If you want to see more of the province, you can include optional stops to your tour at an additional expense per destination.
