Description

Brush up on your knowledge and mastery of the Chavacano language with this 8-session intermediate-level online course. This course is perfect for people who have a basic understanding of conversational Chavacano but want to enhance their knowledge of the local language. It includes eight 60-minute sessions that will allow you to review the basics, improve your vocabulary, and better your pronunciation and practical fluency through role-playing practice sessions.

You can schedule your eight classes as you want. It can be taken once a week, every other day, or every day for eight days. If you need to reschedule a lesson, you must notify your instructor in advance.

Your first class will consist of a review of the fundamentals to ensure that you remember your Chavacano knowledge. Your second class will teach you how to book an appointment for a date or a meeting with friends and family after a review of the fundamentals. In your third class, you'll learn how to use adjectives in Chavacano such as “mabuling," "mapilit," and "maduro." A role-playing activity with your instructor will be part of your fourth session to help you acquire proper pronunciation.

In your fifth class, you will practice what to do or say when visiting the homes of your friends and family. Meanwhile, in your sixth class, you will learn how to express your feelings and emotions. Your seventh session will teach you how to shop for yourself and your loved ones, and your final session will involve another role-playing activity where you can put all of the words, phrases, and sentences you've learned in previous sessions to use.
