Go on an ATV ride near the foot of Mayon Volcano in Albay and see some of the most beautiful views in the province with this Black Lava Trail ride. This trail will bring you 6 kilometers away from the crater of Mount Mayon and to other nearby points of interest. When you book this Black Lava Trail Mayon ATV ride, you’ll be given free use of safety gear and the ATV unit, as well as the assistance of a guide. The activity will take around 2 to 3 hours.
Children aged 10 and below can back ride with an adult for free, while those aged 11 to 17 are already considered an adult and may be allowed to ride their own ATV, provided they show good driving skills during practice. Those aged 11 to 15 may also choose to back ride with an adult for a fee, as long as the total weight of both passengers does not exceed 100kg. For safety purposes, pregnant women are not allowed to join this activity.
You can have this ride scheduled any time between 7 AM and 5 PM, but remember that you need to register and sign a waiver at the activity area before you can actually ride an ATV. Once that is done, your guide will brief you on the safety guidelines you need to remember during your trip. To ensure you can operate the vehicle safely, your guide will allow you to practice driving it. Once they deem you ready, you will head out to the trail.
Your route will take you to exclusive trails. With this path, you’ll drive through curving rock paths, rivers, forests, quarry sites, and the roads of Barangays Banadero, Matnog, and Mabinit. You will also get the chance to see up close and touch lava rocks from the 2006 Mount Mayon eruption. Along the way, you’ll see stunning views of Mount Mayon’s perfect cone.
The final destination of this trail is 6 kilometers away from the crater of Mayon volcano, in the lava wall that the 2006 eruption created. From here, you will be able to see views of the Albay Gulf, Legazpi City, and Ligñon Hill.
Before heading back to the starting point, you also have the option to go on a short 10-minute hike and a quick zipline ride.

Tour Information: This private tour is available daily. Minimum of 2 pax is needed to proceed with the tour. Environmental Fee and LGU Ecosystem Fee are to be paid upon registration and arrival at Trail Destination of choice.
Meet-up Information: Guide to the Philippines will send tour reminders at least (1) day before the tour date through your registered email address. Make sure to have the electronic copy of your confirmed tour voucher ready.
On the day of your visit, please proceed directly to Mayon SkyDrive ATV Adventure, Cagsawa Road, Busay, Daraga. Strictly no latecomers or tour reservation might be forfeited. To arrange for a private hotel pick-up and drop-off, please email booking@guidetothephilippines.ph. Additional transportation fees apply.
Tour Proper: Please be reminded also to dress appropriately. All guests are expected to do their share in ensuring their safety and security as well as that of their personal belongings. Guide to the Philippines and Tour Operators are not liable for the loss or damage to any personal belongings left unattended during the tour.
Each rider shall register and sign the necessary waiver before operating any ATV unit. Safety orientation and actual driving practice will be conducted prior the ATV ride for proper assessment. For safety purposes, pregnant women are not allowed to join the activity.
Children Friendly: Yes. Children ages 4 and above with adult supervision may join this activity.
Pet Friendly: Yes. Dogs are considerably allowed to go with you provided it has safety carrier.
Senior Citizen/PWD Friendly: Yes. However, this may be a medium to extreme activity so we suggest to consult with your physician before proceeding with your booking.
Cancellation Policy: The operator may cancel the activity in case of force majeure or unforeseen circumstances like weather conditions. In this case, you will be given the option to reschedule or request a full refund. Schedule cancellation requests must be made 48 hours before your original subject to approval. No shows are not entitled to reschedule and refund.
