Description

Explore some of Albay’s outdoor tourist spots and learn about local farming with this day tour that comes with the assistance of a DOT-accredited tour guide, air-conditioned van transfers, and pick-up and drop-off from and to your hotel in Legazpi City. On this tour, you’ll be able to go on an Albay ATV ride through an exclusive trail near the iconic Mayon Volcano, try sili (chili) ice cream, and visit a church and a local farm village. Please note participants must be at least 15 years old to join this activity.

You’ll be picked up at your hotel at 6 AM, so make sure to be ready by then. Once you are settled in the van, you’ll head to Mayon Skydrive Adventure to go on a Mayon ATV tour. The trail included in this package is exclusive to Guide to the Philippines and will last around 5 hours. During your ride, you’ll go off-road and pass through rocky paths, rivers, and swamps and get to the closest viewpoint to Mayon Volcano via an ATV ride in Albay. You will also be able to take a close look at lava rocks and lava fields created by different Mayon Volcano eruptions.

After your Bicol ATV tour, you’ll head to the site of the Cagsawa Ruins. The ruins are that of the Cagsawa Church, a Franciscan church destroyed by the 1814 eruption of Mayon. The eruption also ultimately destroyed the whole town of Cagsawa. Now, only the belfry of the church stands.

Next, you’ll have lunch at 1st Colonial Grill, which boasts delicious Bicolano dishes. You’ll need to pay for your own meal, but you can enjoy a complimentary serving of sili or chili ice cream. Enjoy the contrasting cold temperature and spicy flavor of this unique treat!

After lunch, you’ll head to Daraga Church. Also known as Nuestra Señora de la Porteria Parish Church, this structure has been standing since 1772. In 2007, some parts of the church, including its belfry, were declared a National Cultural Treasure. You can also see a beautiful view of Mayon from the outside of the church.

Your last stop is the Albay Farmers Bounty Village. Here, you can learn about the techniques that farmers use to process cacao, pili, honey, and dairy products. Before heading back to your hotel, you have time to shop for souvenirs like cacao wine, tablea, sweet pili nuts, pili oil, and fresh milk.

Spend a day going around Albay's top tourist spots and enjoy a view of Mayon Volcano when you go on this day tour with a Mayon Volcano ATV ride. Check the availability by choosing a date.
