The SkyDrive Grassland Trail is the shortest and perfect for beginners. Covering around 2 kilometers in 20 to 30 minutes, this trail features gentle twists and curves, taking you through expansive green fields with incredible views of Mount Mayon along the way.
If you want a longer ride, the Cagsawa Forest Trail offers a 5-kilometer route lasting around 40 minutes to an hour. This scenic trail takes you through a grassland, across a river, and along paths shaded by Agoho trees. You’ll also pass behind the historic Cagsawa Ruins, one of Albay Province’s iconic landmarks, with Mount Mayon providing a spectacular natural backdrop.
For those seeking a bit more excitement, the SkyDrive Combo Trail covers approximately 8 kilometers and can last between 50 to 90 minutes. This circular route combines a river crossing, forest paths, and splashy trails perfect for fun action shots with Mount Mayon in the background. The mix of terrains and bumpy paths adds to the thrill of the adventure.
For a longer off-road experience, the Green Lava Trail stretches around 15 kilometers and takes approximately 2 to 2.5 hours to complete. This fully off-road route offers an exciting variety of curvy rock paths, a river crossing, forested areas, and quarry sites. Along the way, you’ll pass by local communities, the ruins of Budiao Church, and even get as close as 6 kilometers to Mount Mayon’s crater. You’ll also see former lava fields that have transformed into grasslands and a flower garden, as well as overlooking panoramic views of Legazpi City and other parts of Albay Province.
If you’re up for an even greater challenge, the Black Lava Trail spans 22 kilometers and can take up to 3 hours to complete. This route brings you as close as 6 kilometers from the crater and lets you see the lava wall formed during the 2006 eruption. You’ll also enjoy sweeping overlooking views of Albay Gulf, Legazpi City, and Ligñon Hill. The trail itself features curvy rock paths, a river, forests, quarry sites, and local villages, making for a dynamic and immersive off-road journey. As an added highlight, you’ll have the option to go on a short 10-minute hike and even enjoy an exhilarating zipline ride.
For thrill-seekers craving extreme adventure, the 2018 Mayon Lava Trail offers a heart-pounding ride across 24 kilometers, lasting between 2 to 3.5 hours. This trail takes you through rugged lava rocks left behind by the 2018 eruption, deep gullies, lahar fields, and hectares of coconut plantations. You’ll also pass by the Budiao Church Ruins, cross a river, and enjoy incredible views of Legazpi City. This trail brings you to the closest ATV-accessible viewpoint of Mount Mayon.
