Description

Spend an enriching half-day tour at Bacolod’s contemporary art hubs, which showcase local artists who blend modern sensibilities with the cultural heritage of Negros province and the Philippines. Enjoy your visit to Orange Project, Safe House Theater (inclusive of screening of a locally produced movie), Museo de La Salle, and Lim Guan Art Studio.

This package includes transportation for the entirety of the tour, including pickup and dropoff service within Bacolod City, a local driver as a guide, entrance fees, and tour insurance.

Your itinerary kicks off at 1 PM at Negros Museum where you can learn about the history and culture of the province. You will then head to the Orange Project, located right smack in the middle of the Art District in Bacolod. Bold murals and quirky installations abound here. The Orange Project itself is a spacious hall that houses pieces by some of the Philippines’ renowned contemporary artists, including Antipas Delotavo and Guenivere Decena, as well as young talents who utilize unique media in their works. Over at the Safe House Theater, a 30-seater cinema, you will have time to watch local films by young Negrense directors.

Enjoy delicious coffee and light snacks as part of your tour before you head to Museo de Lasalle. Here you will see an impressive collection of religious artifacts located on the campus of the University of St. La Salle. The tour concludes with a visit to Lim Guan Art Studio, which offers personalized caricature portraits by the artist Lim Guan himself, or learn more about charcoal, watercolor, oil, or acrylic painting techniques.

Book this guided tour for a short but thorough introduction to Bacolod’s lively contemporary art scene. Check availability by choosing a date.
