Bohol Cambuhat River Cruise, Oyster Farm & Community Village Private Tour with Lunch & Transfers

Explore all the wonders of Bohol’s Cambuhat River when you embark on this whole-day tour. This tour is perfect for those who want to learn more about Boholano culture as it will take you on a cruise of the river and a tour of its community. It already comes with the assistance of a tour guide, use of a paddleboard, lunch, and pick-up and drop-off from your hotel or resort in Tagbilaran City. 

Your guide will pick you up from your accommodations at 8 AM. You may request a different departure time, but this must be done in advance and is subject to availability. After settling inside the vehicle, you will head to Cambuhat River in Buenavista, Bohol.

Your first activity in the tour is river paddling down the mangrove-lined river. You’ll board your own paddleboat so you have control of your own speed. Don’t worry if you’re an inexperienced paddler, as a boatman will always be nearby to assist you. You’ll make your way to the oyster farm and stop at a visitor’s center on the river bank.

Come lunchtime, you will enjoy a hearty lunch of oysters and other seafood. As you feast, you will also learn about how oysters are cultured and how the river and the mangroves are managed here. 

After your feast, you’ll enjoy a community village tour that will allow you to interact with the locals of Cambuhat. They’ll demonstrate how they weave raffia cloth using native looms. You’ll also see how they make brooms, mats, hats, and baskets. 

Next, you’ll head to the Loon Church, also known as The Church of Our Lady of Light. The original structure was destroyed during the 2013 earthquake, and the restored building you’ll see was only completed eight years after, in 2021. 

Your last stop is the Punta Cruz Watchtower. This watchtower will give you beautiful views of Cebu Strait, Cebu Island, Siquijor, Bohol Sea, and the island of Mindanao. It was built by the Spanish in 1796 to keep watch against pirates. 

After your tour, you will be dropped off at your hotel or resort in Tagbilaran City.
