Get certified and take your underwater adventure to the next level in Panglao Island on Bohol Province with this PADI Open Water Course in the Philippines.
If you’re interested in maximizing your dives, this Panglao Island course is perfect for you. This PADI open water course will take 2 days to finish.
It includes 5 pool dives, 4 open water dives, the use of diving gear, the service of a diving instructor, certification, a PADI logbook, snacks, fruits, and a beverage. You have to be at least 10 years old, in good physical condition, and able to do a 200-meter swim to take this course.
On the first day of the course, head to the Haka Dive Center on Panglao Island. Once there, you will first be given a quick background on the open-water course and what to expect.
It has three stages: the lecture, the contained-water exercises, and the open-water dives.
The lecture is intended for knowledge development and needs to be completed before your dives. It allows students to understand the basic principles of scuba diving.
The next phase is the 5 contained water dives. Classes are done in the pool, where you can apply the basic scuba diving skills you learned inside the classroom.
The final phase is the 4 open water dives, which will be spread out across the two days of this course. This is the most exciting part, as you will get to apply all the knowledge and skills you have learned in open water. This is also where you can explore and enjoy the sea.
After passing the course, you will be given a certification and logbook as proof of your experience.
This Open Water Diver Certification is recognized worldwide, allowing divers to enjoy scuba diving in any part of the world. Once certified, open water scuba divers can dive up to 18 meters or 60 feet deep underwater.
