Description

Explore the historical and cultural attractions of Tagbilaran City in Bohol with this tour. This half-day tour is perfect for those who want to get acquainted with some of the top tourist attractions of Bohol's capital as it comes with the assistance of a tour guide and transfers from and to your accommodations in Tagbilaran City.

Your guide will pick you up from your hotel or resort at 8 AM. If you wish to leave earlier or later, you may request a different departure time, but this must be made in advance and is subject to availability. After being picked up, you'll proceed with your city tour.

Your first stop is the old Provincial Capitol building. The building used to be the seat of the provincial government in Bohol but was damaged by a 2013 earthquake. It has been replaced with a new Bohol Capitol Building in a different location. After the original building was restored, it was turned over to the National Museum and is now home to several artifacts displaying the province's natural and cultural heritage. Just nearby is the St. Joseph Cathedral, also known as Tagbilaran Cathedral. The structure was originally built in 1767, and while some parts have been renovated, the silver pieces in its altar are original and still used to this day.

Next, you'll visit the Dao Central Market, where you can see and purchase fresh seafood and fruits. If your tour falls on a Tuesday or Friday, you'll experience tabo or market day, where farmers from other municipalities come in to sell their products.

Just across the market is ICM, or the Island City Mall, considered one of the grandest shopping malls in Bohol. You can explore the shops here with the help of your guide.

If you still have time, your guide can also take you to see other sites, including the Governor's Mansion, the fish port, and Sitio Ubos "Old Tagbilaran" ancestral houses. They can also take you to antique shops and souvenir shops before dropping you off at your accommodations in the city.

Visit some of Tagbilaran City's top tourist attractions when you book this half-day tour. Check the availability by choosing a date.
