Enjoy a short island life experience as you sail across the seas to Camiguin Island. Taking you from Cagayan de Oro to a handful of Camiguin’s iconic and picturesque landmarks, this private day tour is perfect for travelers craving for an outdoor escapade while in the province.
Your assigned driver will pick you up within Cagayan de Oro and take you to the port. You will then be transferred to a boat that will take you to Camiguin Island. Upon arriving at the island, you will be picked up by your driver in a multi-cab jeepney that will take you around the local style. Your first stop will be at Mt. Vulcan, known as the Old Volcano. The way to Mt. Vulcan’s peek is actually a pilgrimage complete with 14 Stations of the Cross. Once you reach the top, you will be treated to a breathtaking view of the island.
From there, you'll be taken to the popular Sunken Cemetery. The site sank beneath the sea when Mt. Vulcan erupted in 1871. It is now marked with a huge white cross. You will also be visiting the Old Gui-Ob Church Ruins. The once fully built church was also destroyed when Mt. Vulcan erupted but unlike the cemetery, the ruins are very much intact and hold a piece of the island’s history.
You will then head next to Sto. Niño Cold Spring where you can enjoy a cold dip in the waters to relax. The site is complete with toilets, picnic huts, and local stores. After having your fill of the cold spring, you'll hop on a small boat that will take you to the beautiful White Island. The island is popular for its inviting powdery white sand and the beautiful view of Mt. Hibok-Hibok. Feel free to walk along the shore, pose for creative photos, or have a short swim and snorkel at the beach to complete your experience. You will head back to Cagayan de Oro.
