Description

Embark on a gastronomical tour when you book this private Iloilo food tour. This 5-hour Iloilo tour will not only introduce you to Iloilo’s famous dishes, but it will also allow you to learn about the city’s history with stops at historical locations. This tour already includes air-conditioned vehicle transfers and your meals, so you don’t need to worry about arranging those.

Your first stop is Netong’s Restaurant, which is famous for its Original Special La Paz Batchoy. A batchoy is a noodle soup dish with pork and chicharron. It got its name based on the district of La Paz in Iloilo City.

Next, you’ll head to Roberto’s, a restaurant that is known for its delicious siopao, or steamed buns with a meat filling. Roberto’s serves different kinds of siopao, including some with unusual fillings like bacon and Chinese sausage.

You’ll then go to Kap Ising’s, which serves pancit Molo, a local wonton soup dish that originated in Molo, Iloilo City. Kap Ising’s is a family restaurant that started in the 1920s and has been passed down from generation to generation.

After having your fill of Pancit Molo, you’ll visit Casa Mariquit next, an ancestral house over 200 years old and owned by one of the richest families in Iloilo. Nearby is your next stop, Jaro Cathedral, which is famous for its image of the Lady of the Candles, which many believe continues to grow in size.

For lunch, you have the option of eating at Breakthrough or Tatoy’s Manokan and Seafoods. Both are known for serving fresh seafood dishes. After lunch, you’ll head to Molo Church. The first thing that will catch your eye when you see it is the picturesque red spires on top of its bell towers.

Before you end your tour, you will get the chance to shop for snacks that you can bring home when you visit Biscocho Haus. After that, you will be dropped off at your hotel or resort in Iloilo City.
