The excursion will start at the Bambike Ecotours Headquarters in Intramuros, where the group will meet the tour guide. Please make sure to arrive 30 minutes earlier for registration and briefing and so you can choose the perfect Bambike for you. Once you’re ready, you will head straight to Plaza San Luis, a complex composed of five houses, each one exhibiting different periods of Filipino-Spanish architecture.
From there, you will pass by the Japanese Cannon on your way to the Puerta Real Gardens. The cannon is a relic from the Battle of Manila and was used against American forces during the war. Puerta Real Gardens feature vibrant tropical greens and coconut trees, which make a perfect setting for wedding celebrations and leisurely walks.
Afterward, you will stop at Puerta del Parian, one of the main gates of Intramuros. Go through the gates and see the ASEAN Garden, an area dedicated to the Association of Southeast Asian Nations. Your last stops are Plaza España and Plaza Roma. Plaza España is a small triangular plaza where you will see a monument of King Philip II of Spain, after whom the Philippines was named, while Plaza Roma is one of the major plazas in Intramuros and is considered its center.
You will then return to the Bambike Ecotours Headquarters to learn more about the Bambike’s work for the people, planet, and progress before officially ending your tour.
