Embark on a thrilling 2-day hiking adventure tour to Mount Fato and Mount Kupapey in Bontoc. This multi-day package includes seamless transfers, registration fees, environmental fees, and climb permits. With an experienced tour guide leading the way, enjoy homestay accommodations, three hosted meals, a climbing certificate, and personalized bag tag souvenirs. Capture every moment with a tour coordinator, who also serves as a photographer and videographer. Receive hiking freebies, and for aspiring adventurers, enjoy free use of a GoPro8 and drone coverage (both subject to availability).
The night before the start of your tour, your designated guide will meet you either at McDonald's Eton Centris in Quezon City, Greenfield District Mayflower Parking in Mandaluyong, or McDonald's Roxas Boulevard Service Road in Pasay City 30 minutes before the tour kick-off. Please be punctual, as being late may result in forfeiture of your tour reservation.
Around 6 AM, you’ll arrive at Banaue Arch, your starting point for the adventure. Grab a quick breakfast and enjoy the view. You can also take pictures at the arch before your group heads to Banaue Rice Terraces Viewdeck for the best view of Banaue Rice Terraces.
Later on, you’ll reach Bontoc Proper, the capital of Mountain Province, and have a hearty lunch. You’ll then arrive at your homestay in Maligcong, Bontoc, for a well-deserved rest before your hike.
Once you’re ready, you’ll proceed with your Bontoc twin hike. Begin the trek to Mt. Fato, which stands at an elevation of 1438 meters above sea level. The trail is beginner-friendly. Once you reach the summit of Mt. Fato, capture breathtaking photos. Around 5:30 PM, you’ll return to the homestay, ending the day with a well-deserved rest.
Day 2 kicks off early with a 3 AM wake-up call for the hike to Mt. Kupapey. Once you reach the summit, witness the magical sunrise, revealing different dimensions of the mountain, from a sea of clouds to golden hues. By 7:30 AM, you’ll explore the Maligcong Rice Terraces, known for its stabilizing stone walls. Make sure to take photos of Maligcong Rice Paddies and enjoy the view.
Head back to the homestay afterward, wash up, and depart for Baguio. Arrive in Baguio by 1 PM to enjoy its scenic charm and cultural attractions. Depart for Manila at 2 PM, concluding your two-day Bontoc tour.

Day 1 - Day 1: Arrival in Banaue + Hike to Mt. Fato
Day 1 of your adventure kicks off with an early arrival at Banaue Arch (the iconic welcome arch in Banaue). Grab a quick breakfast before the next stop, the Banaue Rice Terraces Viewdeck. It’s perfect for getting those must-have selfies and the most stunning view of the terraces.
Afterward, you'll travel to Bontoc Proper, the capital of Mountain Province, then have lunch. Then you'll reach your homestay in Maligcong for some well-deserved rest. The real adventure begins with a trek to Mt. Fato. Suitable for beginners, it takes you through a trail adorned with countless pine trees, leading to a summit marked by a large rock. Capture the moment at Mt. Fato summit and return to the homestay after for a relaxing evening.
Day 2 - Day 2: Hike to Mt. Kupapey + Departure
Today, your adventure starts early with a wake-up call at dawn. Head out for the second hike to Mt. Kupapey, meaning "butterfly" in the local language. The trail, much like Mt. Fato, is straightforward, but the rewards at the summit are even more breathtaking. Witness Mt. Kupapey in different dimensions, from a sea of clouds to a golden sunrise.
After the summit, explore the pride of Maligcong, the Rice Terraces, known for its stable stone walls. Immerse in its beauty, take photos, and relax the serene surroundings. Head back to the homestay afterward, freshen up, and then make your way to Baguio, where you can enjoy not just scenic views and cool weather but also explore various cultural and historical attractions for a short time. Finally, depart for Manila in the afternoon, ending your multi-day tour.

Tour Information: This private tour is available every Friday (Day 0). Day 1 starts on Saturday and ends on Sunday.
Meet-up Information: Tour Operator will send tour reminders at least (1) day before the tour date through your registered email address or mobile number. Please keep all communication lines open. Make sure to have the electronic copy of your confirmed tour voucher ready.
On the day of the tour, your assigned Tour Guide will meet you at McDonald's Eton Centris, Greenfield District Mayflower Parking or McDonald's Roxas Boulevard Service Road at least thirty (30) minutes prior to start of the tour. Strictly no latecomers or tour reservation might be forfeited. To arrange pick-up and drop-off to and from the pick-up location, please email booking@guidetothephilippines.ph. Additional fees apply.
Tour Proper: Please be reminded also to dress appropriately. All guests are expected to do their share in ensuring their safety and security as well as that of their personal belongings. Guide to the Philippines and Tour Operators are not liable for the loss or damage to any personal belongings left unattended during the tour.
Children Friendly: Yes. However, please be advised that this tour includes walking and hiking which may not be suitable for PWDs or individuals with existing cardiovascular ailments.
Pet Friendly: No. Please understand that some establishments during the tour do not allow pets.
Senior Citizen/PWD Friendly: Yes. However, please be advised that this tour includes mostly walking and hiking activities which may not be suitable for PWDs or individuals with existing cardiovascular ailments.
Cancellation Policy: The operator may cancel the activity in case of force majeure or unforeseen circumstances like weather conditions. In this case, you will be given the option to reschedule or request a full refund. Schedule cancellation requests must be made 48 hours before your original subject to approval. No shows are not entitled to reschedule and refund.
