Your Mt. Ulap day hike itinerary starts once you've been picked up from Metro Manila or Cavite at 9 PM. From there, you will start traveling to Barangay Ampucao in Benguet, which serves as the jump-off point to Mt. Ulap's summit. Upon arriving in Benguet, you'll register at the tourist center to secure your guides and get a briefing on mountain climbing rules. Afterward, you'll start your ascent at around 4 AM.
After a few hours of climbing, you'll reach Ambanao Paoay, the first peak of the climb. Feel free to snap a few photos as you watch the sunrise over the mountain. You may also see a sea of clouds form depending on the weather conditions during your hike. Then, you'll continue onto Gungal Rock, the second peak along the trail. From there, you will make the last ascent to the summit of Mt. Ulap.
When you finally reach the peak of Mt. Ulap, you will be standing about 1,846 meters above sea level and facing a panoramic view of the nearby mountain ranges. Commemorate your achievement by taking as many photos as you want of the view, and you can also take pictures with the summit marker, perfect for a souvenir. If you packed a meal, you could enjoy your lunch here while admiring the breathtaking view as well.
Following your climb, you'll wash up at the jump-off point before you go on a side trip to Baguio City. Here, you can visit the famous Burnham Park before having dinner at the popular Good Taste Restaurant (at your own expense). When you've had your fill, you'll begin heading back to Metro Manila or Cavite.
