Description
Embark on an exciting culinary experience when you book this Iloilo food tour. It’s perfect for those who want to sample some of the city’s famous snacks and dishes, as this private Iloilo tour already comes with pick-up and drop-off from the city proper and a complimentary Pancit Molo and a drink at Molo Mansion. The whole tour will take around 4 and a half hours. Please note that you will have to pay for your food and drinks at the other stops on this tour.
On the day of your Iloilo City tour, wait to be picked up from your accommodations at Iloilo City proper. You can choose between a morning and an afternoon tour. The morning tour will begin at 8 AM, while the afternoon tour will start at 1 PM.
After being picked up, you will head to your first stop for this Iloilo tour, Roberto’s. This eatery that has been operating since 1978 is famous for its unique siopao, a Filipino-Chinese snack of steamed buns with filling. During your time here, you should try their famous Queen Siopao, which has bacon and Chinese sausage in its filling, or the King Siopao, which has ham instead of bacon.
Your next stop is Camiña Balay nga Bato. This ancestral house was built in the 1860s, and its second floor now serves as a dining area. Don’t leave without trying their hot chocolate, which is incredibly rich and thick.
Next, you’ll head to Salam-ukan, which is famous for their Pata Lina-ga, a hearty stew made with pork hock and different spices. Afterward, you’ll head to Molo Mansion for your complimentary Pancit Molo and drink.
You will next visit Pio’s Tinuom and Seafood Hauz. Tinuom is native chicken wrapped in banana leaves and then steamed, and this is one of the best places to try it. Afterward, you’ll head to Atria, an area that is known for its many food options. Here, you’ll try Netong’s Batchoy. Batchoy is a noodle soup dish made with pork and ginger broth and usually topped with chicharon or pork cracklings.
Your last food destination is Madge Cafe, established in 1940 and believed to be the oldest coffee shop in Iloilo City. Here, you can just chill and have coffee and desserts before heading to Original Biscocho Haus to shop for treats and snacks you can bring home with you.
Afterward, you’ll be dropped off at your accommodations in Iloilo City Proper so you can explore on your own.
