Description

Experience the charm of South Batan, Batanes on this private day tour complete with private transfers, hotel pick-up and drop-off, Protected Area Management Board (PAMB) fees, registration fees, complimentary lunch, and the services of a DOT-accredited tour guide. If you wish to discover why the southern part of Batanes is often visited by nature enthusiasts, then this tour is for you.

You will be picked up from your accommodations in Batanes at around 9 AM and taken to the first stop of your South Batan tour itinerary, Chawa View Deck. This Batanes view deck has a stairway that descends to the beach below it and is located along a steep mountainside. Be sure to take pictures of the gorgeous view of the West Philippine Sea and West Batan cliffs before proceeding to a running tour of the Mahatao Shelter Port, where the majority of the people's boats are protected from the ferocious waves,

After a complimentary lunch, you will make your way to San Carlos Borromeo Church, a church built in honor of St. Charles Borromeo. Next, you will go to Old Spanish Lamp House, then to the Open Book Library, where you can write your thoughts in a book and read what others have shared.

You will then go to Homoron Lagoon and Maydangeb Beach, which are hidden by rugged rocks along the route that connects Mahatao and Ivana. Go towards the beach from the roadway, where you'll see the area's stunning highlands. After taking photos, you will visit the House of Dakay. The House of Dakay is the oldest stone house in Batanes, having been built in 1887.

San Jose de Obrero Church, commonly known as the Ivana Church, is your next destination. The church was named a National Historical Landmark by the Philippine National Historical Commission in 2008. Afterward, you will go to the Honesty Coffee Shop in Ivana, another distinctive South Batan attraction. Customers may acquire everything they need from this unmanned store and then simply put their payment in the appropriate boxes.

Then, you will head to Uyugan Town Proper, where you will find the barangays of Kayuganan and Kayvaluganan. Here, you’ll visit Muchong View Point. This attraction is a magnificently clear and lush viewpoint in Uyugan that overlooks the Pacific Ocean. Your next stop is the Sitio Song Song, where you will find ruins of stone houses that were hit by a tsunami.

Next on your South Batan tour is a religious landmark in Batanes, Our Lady of Miraculous Medal Church. You will then head to one of the most visited tourist attractions in Batanes, Alapad Rock Formation. It is an inclined rock carved by natural elements. The famous "BLOW UR HORN" road sign can be spotted nearby at Alapad Pass, and just near this attraction is the Madangay Viewing Point. This spot is perfect for photo taking and admiring the beautiful scenery.

Your next and last stop is Marlboro Hills. Also known as Racuh-a-Payaman. It is a well-known picturesque area in Batanes. The view of the coastline and the landscape with cattle is breathtaking. If your tour does not fall on a Monday, you will also visit the BAMSO Batanes Museum
