Description
See exciting views and visit historical sites when you join this half-day Zamboanga City tour. This private Zamboanga tour is perfect for travelers who are interested in learning more about the province’s history and city life. It includes entrance fees to all attractions, the assistance of a tour guide, complimentary bottled water, and pick-up and drop-off from and to your hotel in Zamboanga City.
Your tour will start when your guide picks you up from your hotel, either in the morning or afternoon, depending on your preferred schedule. Air-conditioned transfers are included in this trip, so you won’t feel much of the sun’s heat while on your way to your first destination, Pasonanca Freedom Park.
Pasonanca Freedom Park has been considered the Little Baguio of the south due to its wide variety of flora and fauna. Upon arriving, you will see trees that provide fresh air to park visitors. You can enjoy walking around the park and posing for photos or finding a good place where you can sit for a short while.
As you walk in the park, you’ll get to see the different treehouses and teepee tents from the Boy Scout Camp that was built to commemorate the tragic passing of the Philippine delegates from a plane crash in 1963.
Next, you’ll head to the Zamboanga City Hall. During your visit, you will get to appreciate the building’s Filipino colonial architectural design. Take photos of the structure before heading to your next stop, Plaza Pershing, which was used when the Americans occupied the country.
Next, you will visit Rizal Park in Zamboanga, right in front of the city hall. Unlike the huge Rizal Park in Manila, this one is a bit smaller, but it still serves its purpose of honoring the national hero, Dr. Jose Rizal, with a monument.
You will also go to Petit Barracks, which used to be a U.S. Army base, before heading to Fort Pilar Museum, where you can find different artifacts from the Mindanao culture and see a Badjao houseboat. Touring the museum will allow you to peek at the lives of the people from this region of the Philippines. Also in Fort Pilar is the Fort Pilar Shrine, which is dedicated to Nuestra Señora del Pilar, the patron saint of Zamboanga City.
Lastly, you’ll visit Paseo del Mar in Zamboanga, a recreational park where you can jog, have a picnic, and more. Spend your remaining time for your tour here before heading back to your accommodations in Zamboanga City.
Discover some of Zamboanga City’s beautiful and cultural sites for a few hours when you book this half-day Zamboanga tour. Check the availability by choosing a date.
