Description

Learn the basics of the Philippines' Ilonggo language to make your visit more convenient with this 8-session beginner’s online course. This course includes 8 60-minute sessions and is perfect for those who want to learn the basics of Ilonggo, or recall their basic knowledge of the language. By the end of the course, you should be able to understand basic Ilonggo phrases and simple sentences.

Each class lasts an hour and can be scheduled every other day, once a week for eight weeks, or once a day for eight days. Please tell your instructor as soon as possible if you need to postpone. After your schedule is verified, you will receive an email with a link to a Zoom meeting where your classes will be held.

Your instructor will walk you through an introduction in your first class. You'll learn your first Ilonggo phrases, such as “Ma-ayong aga" and in your second lesson, you'll build on those by learning how to speak to strangers. Numbers, hours, days of the week, and months will be the main topics of the third lesson. In order to apply what you learned in the first three lessons, you will take part in a roleplaying exercise with your instructor in the fourth session.

During your fifth lesson, you will learn vocabulary and phrases connected to family, friends, and other relationships. The common verbs will be covered in your sixth lesson, and the practical Ilonggo phrases and sentences that will enable you to order food and ask for directions will be covered in your seventh lesson. During the role-playing portion of the final session, you will have the chance to use the new words you've learned in all of your prior classes.

Gain an understanding of the basics of the Ilonggo language when you book this online language course. Check the availability by choosing a date.
