Summary
Description
Skim the waves and feel the salty air on your skin as you go kitesurfing on this Boracay water activity. If you’re the adventurous type of traveler looking to check off a heart-pumping experience to your bucket list while on the island, then this activity is perfect for you.
You will begin your tour by meeting up with your guide at Astoria Beach Front Station 1 or in front of Bolabog Beach. Once you reach the drop-off site, you will be welcomed by the instructor, who will brief you on the guidelines and safety precautions of the activity. They will also be providing you with the kitesurfing gear.
Kitesurfing or kiteboarding is an extreme water sport that combines sailing strong winds and surfing the waves. For some, it is a mix of wakeboarding, windsurfing, and paragliding. If you’re a beginner to the sport, imagine riding a surfboard while being pulled by a big kite. For experienced individuals in paragliding or wakeboarding, kitesurfing may be a little easier to transition to.
Because of Boracay Island’s location in the Western Visayas region, it gets really windy especially from mid-November to March. These months are collectively called as the kitesurfing season.
Once you finally learn wind navigation and basic kite flying, you will now be strapped to your board and huge kite. Make sure to hold on tight and enjoy the experience as the wind takes you across the waters at around 15 to 20mph. See the island from a whole new perspective. After the activity, you will be brought back to the shore.
Ride with the wind with this Boracay kitesurfing experience. Check availability by choosing a date.
