Boracay is not only known for its pristine islands and idyllic views; it is also famous for water and land activities suitable for kids and adults. One of those activities is paddleboarding, an exciting way to ride the waves without any surfing experience. Stand up paddleboarding is perfect for those want to paddle away on the waters of Boracay.
You will begin your tour by meeting up with your guide at Astoria Beach Front Station 1 or in front of Bolabog Beach. Listen up as your guide takes you to the activity area and gives you the details of the said activity. Afterward, you will be given the paddleboard equipment and directed to the local instructor who will be in charge of your paddleboard experience.
Ranging from 12 to 20 feet in length, paddle boarding is an alternative to travelers who want to catch the waves and experience the joy of balancing. Originally used for yoga, pilates, and swimming enthusiasts for training, paddleboarding has become a quick recreational water activity in Boracay.
Paddleboarding requires you to stand up on the center of the board in an upright position. Plant the rowing blade in the water to propel your board in the water. Your guide will be there to give you detailed instructions on how to do this, so don’t worry.
During the activity, you’ll be taught how to do a few tricks. You will learn how to extend your legs to stand up while your chest is in a vertical position, shift your weight by moving your hips, and maneuver the tear-shaped blade. Have fun and make the most out of this experience.
