From Manila, you can take a flight going to Bongao via Zamboanga City and from there, ride a tricycle going to Bongao. You can also take a flight from Zamboanga to Bongao. There are also ships available routing Zamboanga-Bongao.

To explore the place, tricycles are always available and are the easiest mode of transportation in Tawi-Tawi. Another popular mode of transportation is the habal-habal or motorbicycle.
