Capones Island
The island is defined by massive rock formations and steep inclines that are encircled by sand beaches and coral dunes. The Capones Island Lighthouse, a popular attraction, is situated on a hill at the island's western end.
The coastal areas around Capones Island, as well as parts of the adjacent coasts of barangays Pundaquit and San Miguel, have an abundance of fish and coral reefs.
How to get there
From Manila, ride a bus bound for Sta. Cruz or Iba, Zambales. Get off at San Antonio bus stop and then take a tricycle going to Brgy. Pundaquit. Once there, rent a boat that will take you to Capones Island. For a hassle-free trip, you can also book Zamables tours that include Capones Island.
Best time to visit
It’s highly recommended to visit Capones Island during the warm season in Zambales, which is from November to May.
