Information about Capones Island
Capones Island
Capones Island is one of the best islands in Zambales. It is the largest of the Capones Islands, a group of three small islands that includes the adjacent Camara Island and another islet linked by a sand chain. Administratively, the island is located in Barangay Pundaquit of the Zambales municipality of San Antonio.
The island is defined by massive rock formations and steep inclines that are encircled by sand beaches and coral dunes. The Capones Island Lighthouse, a popular attraction, is situated on a hill at the island's western end.
The coastal areas around Capones Island, as well as parts of the adjacent coasts of barangays Pundaquit and San Miguel, have an abundance of fish and coral reefs.
