Perched at the heart of a forest in Sitio Lao in Malungon, the 73-hectare Retreat Complex operated by the Center for Community Transformation promises a serene and peaceful retreat experience for everyone. 

CCT Malungon Retreat and Training Center prioritize their part in preserving and promoting the culture and heritage of their local indigenous tribes such as the Blaan and Tagakaulo. This is reflected in their retreat center which is traditionally made from bamboo materials. Aside from spiritual facilities, the retreat complex also have a swimming pool, basketball court, and a zipline. Another highlight of Malungon Retreat Center is the model farm where you can observe how the tribes traditionally grow their fruits and vegetables. Join their heritage immersion for a showcase of their music, arts, and cuisines. 

 

History

Founded in 1991, Center for Community Transformation is committed in allevating the lives of poor communities throughout the Philippines. Started as a micro-financing organization that serves individuals and families, CCT now has 16 ministry cooperatives and NGOs that helps change, strengthen, and empower underprivileged sectors such as street dwellers, out-of-school youth, farmers, fisherfolks, indigenous people, and the communities-at-large. Their programs include spiritual development, micro-financing, housing, insurance, social health, education, cultural and heritage exposure from different places in the Philippines. The Malungon Retreat and Training Center is one of the community center of CCT around the country. The 73-hectare center serves as a training facility for volunteers in Mindanao.
