Information about Little Baguio (Don Salvador Benedicto)
Little Baguio (Don Salvador Benedicto)
Don Salvador Benedicto has been termed the "Little Baguio" of Negros Occidental due to its resemblance to the famed tourist destination.
The area also has a lot of pine trees, beautiful mountain views, and a pleasant climate. Temperatures here can also fall to as low as 16°C! However, Don Salvador Benedicto is not as congested as Baguio. As a result, the area is less urbanized and developed, and tourist attractions are largely natural beauties.
While you're enjoying the cool ambiance, you should visit some of Don Salvador Benedicto's fantastic tourist attractions, such as the Maglahos River Tunnel. It is a naturally formed tunnel that has been chiseled over time. To reach the Maglahos River Tunnel, you must walk, hike, and cross an ankle-deep river.
Malatan-og Falls is another breathtaking site. Trekking there would take roughly an hour, with some parts being quite steep. You can swim in the waters after you arrive. If trekking isn't your thing, the Lantawan Viewing Deck offers a spectacular view of the waterfalls.
How to get there
From Bacolod City Proper, ride a jeepney going to DSB. There are also guided tours to this location.
Best time to visit
You can visit this tourist destination anytime as it is open to the public daily.
