Pastrana Park

Pastrana Park is a public park in Kalibo town, the provincial capital of Aklan. It sits across the Kalibo Cathedral and serves as a space where locals and tourists alike can unwind and relax. Aside from being a favorite hang-out spot, it is best known as the venue for the annual Ati-Atihan Festival held every January. This festival in Aklan is also one of the oldest and is known as the best and the biggest Mardi Gras in the Philippines. Another important feature inside the park is a statue of Gen. Francisco del Castillo, who served as the leader of the Aklan revolutionaries who fought against the Spanish forces occupying the province.

Best time to visit

To see the park decked out, it's best to visit during the third week of January when the Ati-Atihan festival is in full swing.
