Lakbay Museo is popularly known for its Instagram worthy features. Located at S Maison in Conrad Manila, the museum allows its visitors to experience the regions of the Philippines without traveling outside of Metro Manila. 

 

What to See

Lakbay Museo makes it convenient for it's guests to travel 11 unique destinations of Luzon, Visayas and Mindanao only within the walls of the museum. As you enter the place, you will have to dress up in Filipino style with handwoven fabrics that are originally made by locals. There are varieties of exhibits in the museum, that showcase the best of the Philippines, which includes the Luzon Exhibit.

Here, you will see the uniqueness of Luzon’s traditional houses and festivals. The Pahiyas Festival, the Batanes Ivatan Stone House, along with the Ifugao House that is built without having to use nails. Balancing of rubber palayoks that are placed at the top of your head is an experience you should not miss. Another sight includes the Pahiyas Festival that is celebrated in Quezon Province. This colorful celebration is a feast for the region’s rich harvest.

You will also be entertained by Filipino talents as they render their jaw dropping performances that mainly focuses on the country’s tradition and culture. The museum also highlights the dances from Luzon to Mindanao, that includes: Pandanggo sa Ilaw, Cariñosa, Tinikling and a lot more. Another attraction to see in the museum is the miniature of the country’s infamous Mayon Volcano.

The Philippines is  known for its delicious food, which is why the Lakbay Museo also gives local snacks to its visitors: Pinoy street food ranging from fishballs, kwek-kwek to the country’s popular halo-halo.
