Monastery of the Transfiguration

Visitors can enjoy the quiet surroundings and explore the monastery’s museum, which houses a collection of liturgical vestments made from indigenous fabrics. Many people include a stop here as part of their Bukidnon tours to experience the heritage of the region. Before leaving, you can visit their gift shop to buy the famous Monks' Blend Coffee, which is grown and processed by the monks on the grounds.
The site is also a popular destination for those coming from Cagayan de Oro tours since it is only a few hours away from the city hub. Guests are reminded to adhere to the strict dress code (no shorts or sleeveless tops) and to remain silent out of respect for the monastic community.
Best time to visit
The best time to visit the Monastery of the Transfiguration is during the dry season, from November to May, to enjoy the clear views and cool mountain air. If you want a unique experience, you can try to visit on the second Sunday of the month for the "Breakfast with the Monks," where visitors can share a meal with the Benedictine community after the 8 AM Mass.
