Mongpong Island
Mongpong Island sits off the northeastern coast of Marinduque and features a striking rock formation and powdery white sand. Surrounding this charming islet are clear waters that are perfect for snorkeling as you can get a better view of the nearby coral reefs and the fish that have made them their homes. Another notable feature of the island is the triangular hole that was carved at the base of the rock formation, which now serves as a short tunnel that you can pass through to see the other side of the island.
Best time to visit
It's best to visit Mongpong Island during the summer season in the Philippines (March to May) so you can fully enjoy the white sand beach without having to worry about heavy rainfall.
