Mount Manalmon is located in the municipality of Doña Remedios Trinidad in Bulacan. It is part of the Biak-na-Bato National Park. The main draws of the mountain are the caves. Those who explore Madlum and Bayukbok Caves will be treated to views of stunning stalactites and stalagmites. Depending on the trail, hikers can also pass by the Madlum River. Those looking for an adrenaline rush can try cliff-jumping or crossing the monkey bridge.
The mountain is surrounded by other peaks, and its summit offers visitors beautiful views of the Sierra Madre Mountain Range, Mount Arayat, and Mount Gola.
Tickets and entry
There is a minimal registration fee of PhP15. However, you also need to pay a guide fee. The rates vary for a day hike, an overnight trip, and a caving experience.
Best time to visit
If you’re planning to hike to the summit of Mount Manalmon, it’s best to start your trek during the early morning so you can finish the ascent and descent before noon, when it gets hot along the trail. It would also be advisable to visit during the dry months when the chance of rainfall is small. This usually falls from December to May.
