Information about Sagada Weaving
Sagada Weaving
Established in 1968, Sagada Weaving has been an institution in the town located in the Mountain Province. This weaving center is one of Sagada's largest employers and serves as a souvenir shop for visiting tourists.
There are many items to be purchased here, from backpacks, wallets, placemats, and slippers, to traditional Cordilleran clothes. The designs and patterns used here are traditionally Cordilleran, making each product extra special.
If you're lucky, you may chance upon workers creating these crafts during your visit. You can watch as they make traditional fabric using wooden looms, but remember to ask their permission first if you want to take photos, as some of them are camera-shy.
Best time to visit
Sagada Weaving is a weaving center, and the workers usually don't work on holidays and weekends, so if you want to see them in action, it's best to visit on weekdays.
