Ugong Rock

Puerto Princesa’s Ugong Rock is a 75-foot-tall limestone rock surrounded by woods that grew on the limestone. The term 'ugong' comes from the sound created when the rocks are beaten or struck. This well-known tourist site is adjacent to the Puerto Princesa Underground River, and it is worth the trek to stop here and experience something different.

This is an excellent location for zip lining in the midst of trees and fresh air, away from the hustle and bustle of the city. The Ugong Rock’s viewing deck is also a must-see, as being there gives you a panoramic view of the province.

How to get there

The best way to get to the attraction is by joining a Puerto Princesa guided tour that includes this attraction.

Best time to visit

Visit during the summer months of March to May for less rainfall.
