University of the Immaculate Conception

Located in Davao City, the University of the Immaculate Conception has a rich history dating back to the pre-war period. In 1902, three sisters from the Congregation of the Religious of the Virgin Mary were sent to Davao City. They started catechizing local children in 1905, and two years later, they founded the Escuela Catolica de San Pedro.

Starting as a parochial school, it has grown over the decades, undergoing name changes and receiving its status as a university in 1992. Since then, it has been continually expanding as an institution, adding more courses to its offerings, including several Master's and Doctorate degrees.

Best time to visit

It is best to visit the University of the Immaculate Conception from January to April, as these are the dry months with less chance of rainfall. Avoid visiting at noon or near that time, as the weather can be really hot.
