Spend the day exploring the Cebu's top historical and cultural attractions in this shared half-day guided tour. This tour will take about four hours and is inclusive of hotel pick up and drop off within Cebu City, all entrance fees, and services of a guide.
You may also upgrade your trip to a private tour that will also include stops at the Lapu-Lapu Monument, Magellan's Shrine, and the Alegre Guitar Factory on Mactan Island. The private tour will last for around six hours and comes with a buffet lunch and bottled water as well.
Your trip begins after your guide picks you up from your accommodation or spot within Cebu City. Travelers staying on Mactan Island will be fetched from SM City Cebu's Traveler's Lounge instead. Once you've been picked up, you will be driving down to the Heritage of Cebu Monument, a collection of statues that portrays important events in the history of Cebu.
The next historical site on your itinerary is the Yap-San Diego Ancestral House. Constructed in the 16th century, this Chinese ancestral home is one of the oldest structures in Cebu City. Next is Magellan’s Cross, a historic site that symbolizes the birth of Christianity in Cebu. Here you will find the large wooden cross that was believed to be the cross that Ferdinand Magellan, a Portuguese explorer, brought to the Philippines.
You will also be visiting the Basilica Minore del Santo Niño, the oldest church in the country and home to the Santo Niño relic that dates back to the 1600s. Lastly, you will visit the Pedro Calungsod Church, a chapel dedicated to the great Roman Catholic Filipino saint San Pedro Calungsod. The structure of the chapel is unique as it features 100 walls of different heights and widths.
