Description

Go on a night escapade at the Walled City of Intramuros in Manila on this walking night tour. This tour will take you to one of the most important sites in the Philippine capital, which is perfect if you want to know the story behind the Battle of Manila. This tour is inclusive of a DOT-accredited tour guide, entrance fees, and a disposable raincoat (if it rains). Please note that this tour will go into graphic detail about the atrocities that happened during the war.

You'll meet your tour guide in the late afternoon in the San Agustin Church Parking Lot, which is inside Intramuros. You’ll then start your walking tour by visiting Casa Manila first. One of Metro Manila's most significant historical museums is Casa Manila. The two-story museum houses works of art, ceramics, books, and furnishings from the Spanish era that depict colonial life.

You’ll then make your way toward the old site of the Philippine Constabulary Academy. Also known as the Philippine Military Academy (PMA), the official training academy of the Armed Forces of the Philippines. Next on the Intramuros night walking tour itinerary is a monument called Memorare-Manila 1945, which was erected in honor of the unarmed civilians who died during the Battle of Manila.

You’ll then go to Fort Santiago, a historic fortress. Miguel López de Legazpi, a Spanish conquistador, built Fort Santiago in 1571 to serve as a defense for Manila, which had just been established at the time. During your tour, you’ll also visit nearby attractions in Fort Santiago such as the American Barracks, an old Spanish barracks that serves as protection for the American forces, and the Dungeon, which are prison cells used in World War II.

Discover the Walled City of Intramuros at night with this walking tour. Check the availability by choosing a date.
