An marvellous day out on the open seas awaits you in this Manjuyod Sand Bar Tour! Throw in some jumping dolphins to accompany you along the way and this is surely a Bacolod side tour you would not want to miss!
The call time might be a bit too early as you’ll be picked up from your hotel in Bacolod and make your way to Bais City, around 4 hours drive away. But if the chance to see dolphins in the wild and spend a day frolicking in a gorgeous sand bar will not get you up, we do not know what will! At the wharf in Bais, you will then take a 15-minute boat ride to Manjuyod Sand Bar, a 7-kilometer pristine white sand bar that rises in azure waters. Depending on the tide, you can enjoy a full sand bar or waist-level waters, but either way, it is a guaranteed grand time!
There are few native cottages built on stilts that are for rent, but as they are limited, lunch might mean a hearty meal on board your boat. Tour arrangements need to go through the tourism office, so tourist capacity is regulated — a far cry from other overly populated destinations in the Philippines. Get a part of the entire sandbar all to yourself and swim or snorkel in its cerulean waters.
Perhaps the most exciting part of the tour is dolphin-watching along the abundant waters of Tañon Strait, a body of water separating the islands of Negros and Cebu. Your boat will cruise along its waters and soon enough, a group of spotted dolphins, bottlenose dolphins, and even long-snouted spinner dolphins will come playing around by your side.
From an equally exciting and relaxing day at Manjuyod, you’ll make your way back to Bacolod and stop over at its Pasalubong Centers. Bacolod is the sugarlandia of the country so you definitely have to get some of its famous sweet treats like Napoleones and Piaya, and other souvenirs.
