The Philippines, with its over 7,600 islands, is known for its pristine beaches and resorts that can be found along its stunning coastline. Among its popular beach destinations are Boracay, Cebu, Palawan, Bohol, and Batangas, all of which can be found in Luzon or the Visayas Region. While some tourist spots in Mindanao like Siargao and Davao are popular among travelers, this region in the country has largely remained underrated, hosting relatively untouched natural wonders.
One of the under-the-radar destinations in Mindanao is the Zamboanga Peninsula. While most people associate the region with Zamboanga City, it is also home to the provinces of Zamboanga del Norte, Zamboanga del Sur, and Zamboanga Sibugay and the cities of Dipolog, Dapitan, Isabela, and Pagadian.
The region is home to several natural attractions like beaches, forests, mountains, and dive spots. It is also known for its diverse culture, being home to several ethnic groups like the Badjao, Samal, Subanen, Tausug, and the Yakan.

If you’re planning a vacation in the Zamboanga Peninsula, one of your best options for accommodations is Dakak Park and Beach Resort. This property is one of the largest in the region and boasts a 750-meter beach, several different kinds of accommodations, its own golf course, an adventure zone, three swimming pools, and several dining outlets.
Operating since 1988, the resort has been a top-of-mind destination in Zamboanga, and in recent years, it has even expanded to include Villa Angelina Luxury Suites, offering modern but still serene accommodations right inside the resort.
This Dakak Resort guide will help you discover the amenities and features of the property so you can make the most of your stay here.
