Aklan is a Philippine province located in the northwest corner of Panay Island, with world-famous tourist attractions. Aklan is a province in the Western Visayas Region. The province's population of over 500,000 people speaks Aklanon, Hiligaynon, Cebuano, Tagalog, and English. Its capital is Kalibo.
Aklan Province is renowned mostly for two things: the world famous Boracay Island and Atihan Festival in Kalibo.
