The Philippines is not lacking in water parks, but Aquatica has the distinction of being the first one located right beside a beachfront. Located in the historic Gulf of Lingayen, Pangasinan area, it is maintained by the nearby El Puerto Marina Beach Resort and Vacation Club, where in-house guests can use the facilities at a discounted rate. 

Those who are coming in for a day trip can come in for a fee and enjoy the various activities that are perfect for both kids and adults alike. It is open to the public, with cottages that can be rented per day. 

The sprawling waterpark complex includes the usual swimming pool as well as a wave pool with an artificial surf area for those looking for a thrilling experience. There are water slides with varying heights and one with a floating device for users. Parents can rest easy knowing that a kid-friendly shallow pool is available for toddlers and children who prefer to have their water fun away from the deep end of the pool. Aside from the artificial wave pool, the more adventurous types can get their kick from a huge bucket splash of water nearby.  

The summer months are a great time to visit the water park for a splash of fun, but the facilities can certainly be enjoyed year-round, where the tropical weather can be enjoyed most times of the year in the Philippines.  Large groups and families will find plenty of activities to keep them occupied here, despite the remote location.

How to get there

Take a bus in Manila bound for Lingayen, Pangasinan. Once there, you can ride a tricycle and tell the driver to drop you off at El Puerto Marina Beach Resort, where the water park is located. You can also join guided tours in Pangasinan to access this attraction.

Best time to visit

The water park is open everyday from 9 AM to 7 PM.
