Buenavista Wharf

Buenavista Wharf is a picturesque destination situated on the eastern coast of the Philippines, renowned for its stunning natural beauty and vibrant maritime activities. Nestled in the municipality of Buenavista, located in the province of Guimaras, this charming wharf offers visitors a delightful experience that combines serene coastal views with a bustling maritime atmosphere.

Upon arrival at Buenavista Wharf, visitors can revel in the picturesque coastal views, explore the nearby islets, engage in water sports activities such as snorkeling and kayaking, or simply relax and soak up the tranquil ambiance. The wharf also serves as a gateway to other attractions in Guimaras, including white sand beaches, island hopping tours, and the renowned Guisi Lighthouse.

How to get there

To reach Buenavista Wharf, travelers can fly into Iloilo International Airport, located on the nearby island of Panay. From the airport, they can take a taxi or private transportation to Ortiz Wharf in Iloilo City. Regular boat transfers are available from Ortiz Wharf to Jordan Wharf in Guimaras. Once in Guimaras, visitors can hire a tricycle or motorcycle to reach Buenavista Wharf, which is approximately a 30-minute drive from Jordan Wharf.

Best time to visit

The best time to visit Buenavista Wharf is during the dry season, which typically spans from November to April. This period ensures pleasant weather conditions with minimal rainfall, allowing visitors to fully enjoy the outdoor activities and explore the wharf's attractions. The dry season also coincides with Guimaras' Manggahan Festival, held in April, where tourists can immerse themselves in vibrant cultural celebrations and sample the island's renowned mangoes.
