Information about Fantasy World
Fantasy World
A castle in the Philippines is almost unheard of, but situated in the hills of Lemery, Batangas, Fantasy World’s castle stands waiting to be explored. Unlike the medieval castles of Europe we have come to know of, the colors of the abandoned castle in Lemery are more reminiscent of Disney’s Cinderella castle.
Fantasy World Lemery is abandoned, but it is still managed by the place’s current owners. It was supposed to be primarily a membership club, but the owner decided to develop the facility to provide recreational, athletic, social, and cultural activities and was marketed mostly to residents of Metro Manila and nearby provinces. Sadly, the place never saw its full potential due to the financial limitations of the owner.
Apart from exploring, the place is also suited for a little bit of quiet time, and they even have a chapel. One of the most appealing features of this place is the Instagram-worthy scenery. You can take photos of the old-fashioned architecture and the jarring landscape. You can even climb to the top of the main tower to see a picturesque view of the place and the land it overlooks. They also have a classical-themed throne room, and you can even rent costumes you can wear throughout the day. A relatively new addition to the place is a hanging bridge that leads to a vantage point with a breathtaking view of Batangas’ landscape.
Tickets and entry
The entrance fee at Fantasy World used to be PhP 1,000 for ten people, but now you don’t need to get a group of 10 people together and can just pay PhP100 per person. If you want to use the venue for a professional photo shoot, you need to pay an additional PhP 5,000.
