Nicknamed the "Beginner's Playground," Mount Batulao offers a challenging yet achievable climb with stunning views. Hikers can choose between a day trip or an overnight stay, camping halfway up the mountain. The summit boasts breathtaking panoramic views of the surrounding landscapes, including Nasugbu's beaches and the rolling hills of Batangas.

A unique phenomenon occurs in December when the sun peeks between the mountain's two peaks, illuminating them – this is where the name Batulao might have originated from, meaning "illuminated rocks" in Tagalog.

Booking a hiking tour is highly recommended as it's the main activity in Mount Batulao. There are various trails with different difficulty levels, catering to both beginners and experienced hikers. The dry season, from November to April, is the best time to visit Mount Batulao. During this period, the skies are clear, offering better visibility for the stunning views. The trails are also drier and less slippery, making for a safer and more enjoyable hike.
