Information about Karingking Falls
Karingking Falls
Located in the municipality of Solsona in Ilocos Norte, Karingking Falls is a three-tiered narrow waterfall. Getting to the falls itself requires around a couple of hours’ hike, which will take you to rocky paths that can be muddy and slippery, so visitors are advised to dress accordingly.
After reaching the falls, visitors can swim in the cool waters of its pool, take photos, or just relax and enjoy the surrounding views. Travelers can also climb the different levels of the falls to enjoy the sights from a different perspective, but it must be noted that this comes with a risk as the climb could be slippery.
Tickets and entry
You need to pay an environmental fee to enter the area where the falls is located. It is highly advisable that you hire a guide to help you reach the falls, and this will require an additional fee.
Best time to visit
The best time to visit Karingking Falls is during the dry season, which usually runs from December to May. Although this means the cascade will be flowing less compared to the rainy season, this will give you an easier trek to the falls since the path will be less slippery.
