Mines View Park
Mines View Park is one of the famous tourist spots across Baguio, packed with shops selling snacks, trinkets, botanical items, and others. Picture-taking services with traditional Igorot clothes, horses, dogs, and more are also available in the lower half of the park. The park also overlooks nearby mountains, forests, and Itogon's abandoned mines.
Thanks to the scenic view you can enjoy from here, the observation deck of Mines View Park became a popular destination for taking photos of Baguio’s scenery. This spot in the park also provides an open hut, inclusive of chairs, to give shade and a resting area for visitors.
How to get there
A few kilometers from central Baguio is the Mines View Park, which is situated at a high altitude, enabling visitors to see the mines and Amburayan Valley from its deck. To get here, ride a jeepney at the terminal located at Lower Mabini Street and ride a jeepney bound for Mines View Park.
Best time to visit
It is an all-year-round destination best visited during the warm season and holidays. Take note that it might get crowded with families during peak season. Fun fact: the cold climate of Baguio City is caused by its location, which is 1,470 meters above sea level, maintaining the constant cool temper, earning the name as the summer capital of the Philippines.
