Naked Island is a good place to go to the beach because it has fine white sand and clear blue water. Naked Island forms part of a cluster of islands and islets collectively known as the “Britania Group of Islands” located in San Agustin, Surigao del Sur. The island group’s name is taken from the barangay where it belongs, Brgy. Britania, which is derived from the Greek form “Brettania” means “a collection of islands with individual names”.
The island is named such primarily because it is basically just a white sand bar with no presence of any vegetation and just has small rocks around.
The best way to get to the island is to go on a guided tour that also stops at Naked Island.
The best time to visit Naked Island is in the summer, from March to May, when there isn't a lot of rain.
There is a small fee for each boat that arrives at Naked Island. The fee is collected by a local who is in charge.
